While a classic Boston snowstorm blanketed the streets this week, things were heating up inside Tobin Tower. As part of our ongoing “Battle of the Buildings” Blood Pressure Challenge, the Clare Senior Care team gathered with residents for a morning of health, education, and genuine connection.
Small Crowd, Big Impact
The snow may have kept some neighbors tucked away in their apartments, but for those who joined us, it turned into an incredibly special, intimate gathering.
Our Head Nurse, Thai, took the lead, transforming the clinical check-up into a vital awareness session. She spoke passionately about the “silent” risks of high blood pressure and shared practical, life-saving advice on how to manage heart health during the winter months.
More Than Just a Reading
While the Clare Team worked diligently to monitor the blood pressure of every senior in attendance, the room felt less like a clinic and more like a living room.
- Personalized Care: Every resident received one-on-one attention and a clear understanding of their numbers.
- Community Support: Neighbors encouraged one another as they logged their entries for the “Battle of the Buildings” trophy.

Breaking Bread and Sharing Stories
The highlight of the day came after the stethoscopes were put away. We shared a light meal together, and as the snow fell outside the windows, the stories began to flow. From memories of past Boston blizzards to life lessons shared between generations, the “warm meeting” lived up to its name.
At Clare Senior Care, we believe that health isn’t just about medicine—it’s about community. We left Tobin Tower feeling inspired by the resilience and spirit of our seniors.
